The term POP itself is so full of life that I think adding the term LIFE to my title is probably just a form of poetic justice. How ever, in recent present, these two terms have definitely become dearer to me. Before I can talk about the outfit, this title- ‘A Pop Of Life‘ is an ode to some people who are no more in this world but were definitely stars even before they literally became shining stars in the sky. I might seem shameless- flaunting skin and loud, popping colors (considering that my immediate environ has seen the unfortunate demise of my beautiful, full of life granna and a young man in the family), but then not equating them to POP would be bigger tragedy. These people were heroes and so alive while they lived that its only good vibes and happy energies that one could associate with them. Forever alive in our hearts, this dedication celebrates their attitude towards life in general.
Thank you Dadi and Ishu for inspiring and touching the lives of everyone around you.
Coming back to fashion, this #ootd is solely about color blocking, going bold and expressing style in its most pop avatar. I picked a bright fuchsia crop blouse and blocked it up with a formal aureate colored skirt. Matching Fuchsia kitten heels that I wore with net socks (if Kylie Jenner can do it at Cannes, so can I!) gave a quirky twist to this look. Pink on my lips and hair done up in a partial twist, I wanted to create a look that’s slightly futuristic and whimsical too (hence the white sunglasses). I could call it retro meets the future fashion too as a certain 70s drama with that pop effect is also something one can find in here.
Its summer time and short crops such as this one are more than welcome. If you are on the hunt for a statement look that can be worn to a party, this is your inspiration. Its a welcome deviation from short dresses or mini skirts etc for sure and I believe it goes well with my generation too.
I won’t pen down any more here and leave you to judge this one, because the future… is pop!
