Indian weddings are all about extravagant display of colors, customs, feelings and of course, money. With more and more girls getting a rather shout out loud say in their wedding preparations, its only proper to give them a platform where they feel spoilt for choice while picking up their trousseau, the jewels, the decor and other wedding ancillaries. One name that has managed to give the wedding industry a much deserved podium where brides meet their dream wedding team is THE VOGUE WEDDING SHOW, which is now in its 4th successful year.
THE VOGUE WEDDING SHOW 2016, A 3 day wedding extravaganza was hosted at Hotel Taj Palace from 5th August through 7th August 2016, at a venue perfectly befitting an event of this stature with INVITE ONLY ENTRY. This luxurious wedding exhibition showcased the finest, latest and most exclusive services in the bridal world at Taj Palace where the Who’s Who of fashion world made their presence felt with some classy bridal finery for the upcoming wedding season.
The dazzle of Our Great Indian Fashion designers’ fraternity manages to lure everyone, even the most skeptical of prospective brides. With their ornate extravagance enhancing the decadent silhouettes of the female form in some ravishing trends, which would be bride can escape the allure? From the royal drapes by Sabyasachi to some pastel power by Varun Bahl, brides had a grand array of styles and sensibilities to choose from. I went to the Vogue Wedding Show 2016, DAY1 to witness the perfect amalgamation of sense and style. It was practically swarming with eager brides walking through the halls and stalls of various designers, zealously searching for THE PERFECT everything for their wedding.
When you get to walk around casually, chit chatting candidly with some fashion grand masters such as Tarun Tahiliani, Sabyasachi, Shantanu and Nikhil, Manish Malhotra, Anita Dongre, Varun Bahl, Shane and Falguni Peacock to name a few, swelling in pride is only natürliche. With pinks and golds, reds and emeralds dazzling you inside out, what’s not to love? I also had a chance to attend one of the masterclasses held there and the knowledge one of my idols- Ms Anaita Adjania Shroff had to share with us will stay with me for a lifetime.
That and my selfie with Sabya sir- The ABSOLUTION of this entire event for me. If I was a fan of his aesthetics previously, I am a bigger fan of the Man that he is, now- A thorough gentleman with the touch of Midas. Such a pleasure meeting this living legend!
To add some more razzmatazz to the already enchanting spectacle were some of the finest jewelers showcasing their bridal finery to the elite crowd. Names such as Amrapali, Hazoorilal, House Of Surana, Bhirdichand Ghanshyamdas and Sons, Jaipur etc were adding to the glam quotient of the Vogue club.
I could have stayed there eternally, this dreamhouse of all things bright and beautiful and everything there made me wish I was getting married again, but then once bitten, twice shy! In case you missed the Vogue Wedding Show 2016, hope this roundup gave you a little review of what you missed and should not miss next time around.
