The festive season is here! Finally a chance to step up your ethnic wear game and flaunt some really bright and vibrant looks. I have always been a big big fan of ghagras. And this time Me and my lovely little daughter did the happy twirl in a festive look by Biba. With one of the major Hindu festivals-Diwali just around the corner, this look that shows not just the glory of Indian wear but also its connect with relations, festivals and family had to take the limelight.
Diwali is about family for me. They are the lamps that light up my life, especially my lil girl whose one look can make me go weak in my knees. Its not just that she’s my weakness but also my biggest strength. I am standing where I am only because of her love and understanding. At an age of 9,she knows when I need my time and when can she expect me to fulfill my duties of being her mommy, her friend and partner in crime.
The festival of lights is a reason to celebrate with crackers, puja and sweets. Its a wonderful time to strengthen the bonds with your people, we have started to neglect even the closest of relatives, family members, friends, and sometimes even kids. The pace of the modern life that we live today does come with its own consequences. so let the festival of light re ignite the diminishing luster of family and friends. Bring your close ones really close and show them that you care. I showed my daughter I care in my way. We went shopping and ate out. She pointed out that “Ma, Today after a long time I had fun shopping! Lets do this more often.”
Even when we were doing this look, she couldn’t stop twirling in her new ethnic attire. My #bibagirl truly made it more beautiful!
Such precious moments are meant to be repeated as much as possible. Don’t let any chance go. This Diwali, light it up, #makeitmorebeautiful with Biba.
BIBA as a brand has been one of my favorite picks when it comes to comfortable, contemporary, chic Indian wear. So when we got to style this look as a mommy daughter duo, it couldn’t be better timed than the Diwali season. This look is an ode to our traditions that have stood the test of time and yet kept us firmly on the ground. The brand also has been long in business but continues to evolve and grow as BIBA keeps up with the latest in the market and yet merges a traditional sentiment into each of their creation seamlessly.
Do check out how TANIA and me styled our BIBA outfits for some Diwali dress up inspiration-
