“Say No To Drugs”
Its an age old adage and its relevant still, you may assume we humans are progressing but then are we really? The 90s kids and the hippie revolution may be a thing of yesteryear’s but one thing that still stays back from that era is the ever rising POPULARITY of drug and substance abuse. From being a domain of dingy lanes and secret societies to being a mainstream COOL indulgence, the DOPE generation is literally HIGH on life. While the rich and famous have always been associated with drugs, its now the turn of every Tom, Dick and even Jenny to try dopey escapades right under the nose of their parents and the society at large. Its a scary trend as kids are aware of its harmful effects and yet in a bid to fit in with the COOL CHAPS, they go ahead and Smoke up or snort any way.
But think about it, how good can a trip do you when your health is being compromised? If your cognitive abilities, your memory and sleep, your heart rate and pulse, skin problems, lower immunity and so much more are worth the loss, then I will totally doubt your judgement for going ahead in favor of the Drug Abuse. Its so not worth it.
Lovely Professional University has always been proactive when it comes to advocating social causes or welfare of the society and its students. One such recent activity they planned was to have THE GREAT KHALI as an ambassador for good health and a speaker against drugs and intoxicants for making their students aware and cautious. Looking at Khali can be intimidating but at the same time his built and health is an inspiration. He spoke to the students and tried to create awareness about the ill effects of drugs, not just physical but also social and psychological. Khali emphasized the need for a healthy and aware youth for the country’s progress and the cheering and enthusiasm among the students did reaffirm that his words and presence were making the desired impact.
Bollywood Scion Akshay Kumar who is almost synonymous with discipline and good health was also present as a spokesperson for the same. He urged the students to be sensible and lead a healthy, disciplined life for long term success and good life. He with his active lifestyle, his energy and enthusiasm literally drove the students into an energetic frenzy of positivity and joy. Akshay Kumar is a legend in his own right and I am sure his message is loud and clear. Say NO to drugs, say yes to a good life.
Honestly, I know we all love the lure of Drugs. But Drug Abuse isn’t worth your while. If you really want to be COOL, stay fighting fit and chase the joys of life that are right here. You don’t have to run after them, just seek them with a spirit. Happiness awaits those who embrace the real HIGHs of life. Drugs are fake, and for wannabes. Real men and real women rise above this.
