Isn’t it really obvious? With the kind of heat wave that has left us charred mercilessly, I am sure I am not the only one who is who pleads “Take me to the beach”. Its the most wanted vacation that one would dream of during these months and anyway, the very idea of a vacation is meant to be gobbled up by people like me who are always looking for ways to escape Delhi. However, this time I wasn’t so successful in running away from the mayhem and since I had already SHOPPED the part, I though why let it waste. If you follow my Instagram, I did “QUOTE” that If I can’t go to Goa, Goa can come to me.
Now with Goa on my mind, I could think of so many thing, all of them bright, short and beautiful. A beach holiday is all about feeling your skin, so minimal clothing becomes a maxim of sorts and if you don’t dress the part, the holiday is incomplete. I am a mountain baby, always have(been), always will (be). But this time I wanted to know what the beach fuss is about. I wanted to see if I can get the same tranquil peace I feel in the hills here at the shore as waves lash up against my bare feet. I wanted to feel the excesses of partying, of playing with the tidal, salty water and getting tanned (shudders) all over.
Alas, some personal issues later, I am still here…roasting in Delhi.
But not the kinds to get deterred, I did the second best thing about it. I PRETENDED to shoot in Goa( yes, you can laugh). Why would any blogger allow her #ootd go waste right? So here is a beach look I played along in some street of Delhi, trying to capture the feel and vibe of Goa, miles away from it.
A cold shoulder, cool cotton white dress that skims carelessly along your body , detailed with tassels and colors is just right for a day by the sea. A sun hat of course (its a Zara suede one though) along with my favorite pom pom sandals completed the boho-by-the-beach vibe. Now all I need to complete the feel is a chilled pint of beer (that is achievable though). You can also try this look in Delhi since its summer friendly enough. Just skip the hat maybe (winks).
Do have a look at this one and let me know how you feel in the comments below!
